I hope you enjoy this bit of descriptive cracker history. The old 'Strand Magazine' was packed with fiction for both adults and children and contained profiles of well known people along with a substantial humour section - all generously decorated with page after page of original, intricate artwork. The article below might give you a hint of why I feel so passionately about restoring the fun intent of the original Victorian Christmas crackers - and why I rail against the commercial fare being produced for today's marketplace.
Enjoy!♥♥
